Letter to baby

Dear Baby Mac,
Today your great grandfather Mac passed away. He was a wonderful loving man. He is in a better place now. We know that he has his memory back and is able to move around freely, without canes or walkers. We are sad to know that he will not get to meet you in December. He loved babies and would have loved you just as much, especially if you are another Walter.

Love,
Mom and Dad

Things the hubs has said

Warning, you may not want to repeat these to other pregnant women..

-Your hips are getting wide. (He tells WAY to many people this)
-Your butt is getting big
-He thinks I suffer from PDS (Pregnancy dumbness syndrome) He makes reference to this anytime I forget or do not understand something.
-Your slow, why can't you work in the yard all day like you did last spring?

He has been very helpful. When I was feeling bad, he did everything around the house. He melts my heart when he talks about things he plans to do with baby. Currently, he is building a closet organization system for the nursery closet.

One Week from today

We will be going to get a sneak peak at Baby Mac.

In the beginning, I was convinced baby would be a boy. Ask me today, I have no clue. I find it interesting to hear which gender people think the baby will be and why. One of my coworkers swears it is a girl because my hips are spreading, jeez thanks a lot.

OB Appointment

Weight gain -none. I have lost 10 pounds total and no I am not getting sick.
Heart beat- Sounded great, Dr didn't give beats per minute.

C thinks these appointments should be called check ins. He thinks it is crazy how short they are. I don't mind it.

I feel great. I have energy, so we have started marking things off of the looooong to do list.

Milk of Magnesia

or as I call it M.O.M.

People have told me all types of horror stories from the previous pregnancies. Not one person told me I wouldn't be able to poop. Not.a.single.person. I noticed last week that it had been more than my normal few days. I thought ah, it will be ok. I was.so.wrong. I finally went on Monday. It took WAY longer than usual. (almost an hour) There were tears involved. Clinton was ready to take me to an urgent care place. I cried. Tried to move around. Asked for all sorts of things to drink(water, hot water, hot milk, apple juice). Then it finally happened.

Fast forward six days and guess what? I haven't gone since. Since Monday I have increased my water intake, increased my fiber, started colace. I really hope this doesn't continue throughout my whole pregnancy. I felt like I had done as much as I could on Saturday to try and stimulate the natural. I dug out the list of safe medications from my OB and decided I needed to try something else. I bought Milk of Magnesia Saturday morning hoping that would trick my body. Nope, didn't work.

We had Mothers Day brunch with my mom and siblings this morning and I have had horrible cramps since last night. When we got home from brunch I decided I have to do something about this. As I slowly unwrapped the bottle of M.O.M. I started double questioning did I REALLY need to do this? My wonderful husband reassured me, while he was laughing and making jokes, that I should just drink it. I poured my two tablespoons into the provided cup and started gagging before I ever took a sip. After about ten minutes, I finished it off. :gag:

I have a new sympathy for people that struggle with constipation. This is something very new to me. If you struggle with this, I am very sorry.

Any advice or any tricks that worked for you? If you experienced this during pregnancy, was it 1st 2nd and 3rd trimesters?

Bathing Suit FAIL

We were invited to go with some friends on their boat today. After I convinced Clinton that this was a fabulous idea for this hot day. I went to put on my bathing suit. (insert sad face here) This bathing suit fit perfectly the end of last summer when I wore it last. I will spare you pictures, but my boobs look horrible. Spilling out on the right, left, and disgustingly over the top.

Add to the to do list for this week, find a new bathing suit top. Boo!

Am I still pregnant?

Today has been a great day. I was able to sleep in until 9:45 and woke up feeling great. No nausea or dizziness. I ate breakfast and decided today was the day to start cleaning out what will be the nursery. This sounds like nothing, but for the last two weeks all I want to do is sleep because of feeling like crap.

I worked on little stuff all day. No nausea! None. Then the horrible thought entered my mind, am I still pregnant? I quickly got rid of that. "I'm pregnant today and I love my baby."

I think I may have experienced my first craving today. I wanted guacamole. After going to publix to discover all of their avocados were so hard I couldn't eat them if I wanted to. I decided it will be a great snack after work monday or tuesday.
