Bradley Class 8

Class went well. We left an hour early. I still do not feel great. Went to the doctor today for them to listen to my lungs. OB thinks it is a sinus infection.

A Sick Day turns into research day

Today is day 8 of this darn cold. I went to work for a few hours this morning and continued to feel worse, so Clinton brought me all the way home. I must have looked as bad or worse as how I felt when he said you look like I need to take you home. If you know him, you know he would not hesitate to mention how it would waste gas to take me 26 miles home and then 26 miles for him to return to work. He didn't say a word about that.

Anyways, we are really leaning towards cloth diapering. What else is there to do when you feel like crap, but don't want to sleep for fear of not sleeping at night? Research!! I spent WAY to much time today researching diapers. After dinner tonight, I showed Clinton what I found. His first response, those aren't cute. What? Since when do diapers needs to be cute. I'm concerned about functionality. Sure I would like some cute covers, but not every diaper must be cute.

I would like to have a stash of 12-24 newborn diapers and then 24-36 one size diapers. The one size diapers are advertised to work for 10 pounds up to 35 pounds. Most cloth diaper mommas don't recommend the one size until over 12 pounds.

The kissaluvs are a possibility for the newborn.

* Diapers snap on and off--no folding, no pins, no diapering gymnastics!
* Diapers arrive with the umbilical area already snapped down. The snap-down
stays in place through subsequent washings ... no special folding or snapping
required each time you change a diaper.
* After the cord stump heals, simply unsnap the snap-down and use the top row of
snaps as baby grows.

(The not so cute ones)

We will most likely use Fuzzi Bunz for the one size. (The look he prefers)

On another note, I'm going to the doctors in the morning. I will try and take a picture tomorrow night.

P.S. Only 8 more days until the first day of my 3rd trimester!!

A must.have.outfit for Luke

If you know anything about either sides of our family.... then you know that the men all have their fair share of hair. Clinton saw a similar onesie at BRU before we know what we were having. When we found it was a boy, he wanted to order it. It had SOLD OUT! He was disappointed, I had a seller on etsy make it for us.

The pants, socks and hat are all from Old Navy.

Bradley Class 7. FAIL

We skipped class last night. I had and still have a sore throat and low grade fever. No reason to go spread my germs.

No picture this week.

24 Weeks!!!

Today is a celebration. Today is viability day. If Luke was to be born after today, he has a very good chance of surviving with the help of NICU. I hope he is nice and comfortable inside and doesn't plan to come out for at least 16 weeks.

The OB I was going to see today ended up going to four births near the time of my appointment. We were in the doctors office for two hours. They did give us the option to reschedule, but he is my favorite, so we waited it out. Up until today, I have lost weight or the scale has held steady. Evidently that had to end.... I gained SIX pounds in the last 4 weeks. I'm blaming the milk that I have been craving. I have been drinking 3 to 4 glasses of milk a day. Time to cut back on the milk, boo!

Bradley Class 6

Nothing spectacular in class tonight. We are half way through the Bradley course. It has been helpful so far, but I am not a huge fan of not getting home until after 10pm.

24 weeks appointment tomorrow!!

Bradley Class 5

We watched a birthing video and a doula came to speak. Have you ever met someone and thought not so nice things? The doula meant well, but there is no way I could tolerate her during labor. We didn't "click" at all.

Clinton had a first yesterday. He was able to feel Luke practicing his kick boxing moves.
